Flowers in the sky.

In Japanese, the word for fireworks is “hanabi.” It is made of two Japanese characters: flower and fire.

In Japan, summer is the season of fireworks festivals. Colorful and illuminating fireworks blossom in the night sky all over Japan during weekends in July and August.

Taking a step back and pondering about fireworks. Noticing these flowers in the sky are launched in the midst of a dark sky. Noticing we don’t send fireworks in the day time.

That fireworks are sent up when the conditions are right. When the timing is right.

Yes, timing.

The balls of fireworks we have. The seeds to the flowers in the sky. Is the timing right to light them up?
